What is Phonics?
Phone means sound and Phonics is the ‘study of sounds’

Why Phonics?
The basic purpose of Phonics:

  • As English is a base of all subjects
  • For a student, phonics develops all the subjects
  • Phonics inculcates reading habits
  • Phonics promotes self‐study
  • Thus, phonics helps in overall development of a student.

About Grammar:

What is Grammar?
Grammar is a system of language. It is a rulebook of language.

Why Grammar?
To use English it is necessary to know its Grammar. Phonics teaches us read and write English, Grammar tells us how to use it.

Grammar gives us two things :

  1. Accuracy in language and
  2. Improvement in communication

How we teach Grammar?
At Onboard, we have divided Grammar in three stages:

  • 1st: Basic Grammar (Upto 4th Std.)
  • 2nd: Intermediate Grammar (Upto 7th Std.)
  • 3rd: Advance Grammar (8th Std. onwards)
